Christian music news: What did he die for?

Latest christian music:
Christian singer-songwriter Twila Paris asks a question in a song that should be played on this day to remember the sacrifice many made to secure our freedom. Yes everybody we know "war is hell" and when you gaze the graveyards and tombstones throughout America ask yourself: "What did he die for?" It's a question that has a history and Twila conveys it so well. We may all want peace as an answer but it is not a peace that comes without violence. Consider the peace that Jesus Christ gives and what He went through to give you and I that peace. Nobody enjoys watching "The Passion of Christ" when we see Him earn His stripes for our freedom. The violence that Jesus Christ went through on the road to the cross, and the blood that was shed by Him is taken for granted too many times in this culture war. So when do you ask the question- "What did He die for?"
In interviews I have had with veterans and family members they seemingly have the answer. War may not be the right answer, ideology may not come close to reason, but as long as there are terrorists there will be war. We know that in the Middle East the brave suicide bombers strap bombs to innocents and sometimes the mentally handicapped to make a point. As long as the terrorists use humans as weapons or commercial airlines to slaughter and make their maniacal, twisted points we will hear a US Soldier willing to give their lives for that freedom. Twila sings of the soldier who struggles up that hill without a thought of turning back, just as Christ did. She sings earnestly:
"What did He die for when he died for you and me? Made the sacrifice so that we could all be free." You see everyone wants peace we just have a problem with paying the price for it and moreover our "priceless liberty."
The bridge of the song says: "He died for freedom, He died for love, and anything we could do to pay Him back could never be enough!"
Today as you watch the parades and as you have your cook-outs and share some neighborhood times with friends, bask in your liberty and be thankful for your freedom. Look out at Arlington and Fort Logan, and pray a prayer of thanks. Memorial Day asks us to remember why our soldiers died and why some lived to witness heroic acts of courage. Jesus Christ won a war between good and evil as He went up that hill and to the cross. Let's not take our freedom for granted and lets start talking about the main point. We know the answer to the question "What Did He Die for? " Look inside and ask that question on this day.
